I am reviewing the information for this
Bootcamp class and looking at the samples vs the type of cards I tend to make, it seems that my focal points so far are the sentiment. Hm? I notice as well that I like tactile embellishments more than colored images..... hm? Off to try another one!

I love the colors you used. This is a very pretty card.
ReplyDeleteHaving a sentiment as your focal point is perfectly fine Lynn and my feelings are if you don,t enjoy coloring chances are you won't be interested enough to acquire the skills so that your results satisfy you and there are SO many options that making a card without having to color isn't really difficult, so if you aren't into coloring skip it.
ReplyDeleteThe sentiment in this design with it's center placement is the first thing you see in this design and the flower embellishments are sweet. It almost feels like a floral garland. The one thing I might have considered playing with was the placement so that the line of flowers maybe curled around the sentiment as opposed to leading the eye down and off the bottom of the card.
It's wonderful to hear you say you're looking back at your own cards because that is a great way to learn what you like as well as what works so you can stow it away in your bag of design tricks :)
