Operation Write Home

I am currently making cards for Operation Write Home, which sends blank handmade cards to deployed servicemen and women. OWH is an amazing organization that ships thousands of cards each month to our nation's Heroes so they have something to write home on. Please check out the tag on the sidebar for more information on this inspiring mission. Please join me in supporting our men and women who sacrifice for us all.

S&S Sketch Challenge #31

I liked this challenge. Not too moving parts! LOL! Anyway, this was made with an image I cut out and glued to cereal box cardboard and then coated with Dimensional Magic for protection and shine, then raised. The scallop background is not a frame, it is actually hand punched dots each glued on individually. And the white is some lightweight decorator fabric. The background is actually a little more lavender than the pic shows, but I thought this came out nice.

Midweek Throwdown - Goldilocks Christmas

Michelle Perkett came to visit OWH this week with a gift of two wonderful digi stamps for us to use for making cards for our Heroes to send home! I saw Goldilocks dressed for the holidays and so here she is! Thank you Michelle!

Fall Colors X2

These were made from the same image just split in two. It is nice to be able to make similar, yet not identical cards. The leaf on the card above was made from a punch and then inks added with a cotton swab.

Recycled and Butterflies

These are some of my recycled parts cards. They were made with thick packaging that had a glossy finish. The butterflies were stamped silver on black and the cord was from a gift bag handle that happened to be the right color.

Just A Note

This is actually a re-purposed card that I cut up and added the ribbon to and scuffed up the green flower a bit.

Birthday Wish

I was having a mo-jo struggle last night and just started with the tag. I finished it this morning. Not too bad! LOL! Where does that mo-jo hide anyway?

Fall Elk

I am trying to make some general Fall/Winter cards that don't necessarily say a specific holiday. I thought this guy was handsome!

New Grandbaby!

My husband's eldest son just had their first child! Welcome to Madison Lynn! I'm glad for little girls, then I can use glitter and it is all ok.

Tumbling Holly

I have no idea where these ideas come from. I just liked the feel of this one. I might try to see if I have a small sentiment to add, but, as of now.....I like it the way it is!

Puppies Missing You!

These guys just looked like they were missing someone! And they now look like they are in the "dog house", too!

Fall Featured #2

Here are more of the Fall cards I just made. I love all the colors of fall. God uses His full color palette during the fall. Too bad the season is so short.

Fall Featured

Sandy had asked for some cards that were Fall and Winter without being holiday, like Thanksgiving or Christmas, so here are the first few I made with that in mind.

Vintage Motorcycle Mail Call!

This was an image from an old magazine, my favorite place to find an intesting mix of goodies for making my cards. I thought this guy was just perfect!
