Operation Write Home
I am currently making cards for Operation Write Home, which sends blank handmade cards to deployed servicemen and women. OWH is an amazing organization that ships thousands of cards each month to our nation's Heroes so they have something to write home on. Please check out the tag on the sidebar for more information on this inspiring mission. Please join me in supporting our men and women who sacrifice for us all.

OWH Design Bootcamp Day #1 and Sketch #16
This is the first day of this amazing Bootcamp being taught by Paula and the subject is Basic Color Theory. There is a ton of information to be found here. This is my attempt to follow the Analogous colors which are any three colors which are side by side on a 12 part color wheel. I wasn't sure if I had to USE 3 colors or just use colors that would be considered side by side.... hm??? This is also using sketch #16 from the OWH Sketch library.

Hi Lynn! Yes, technically the Analogous Harmony would include 3 colors that are right next to each other on the wheel (without skipping any in inbetween). Now it could be the way my monitor is showing it but this almost looks like it could fit the description of Monochromatic... With various shades of grey (the light warm grey and blue gray pattern) with accents of black and white. It's a very nice masculine design too. Classy looking! Thanks for sharing it!
Very classy!
Pretty card, I love the motion set by the swirl and the embossing without it being too busy! Great layering too!
Nicely done. I really like that gray print.
Ooh wow, I sometimes forget to think of greys as colors to use to make a nice card! Yours is gorgeous! Thanks for boot-camping with us! Great job!
