Operation Write Home
I am currently making cards for Operation Write Home, which sends blank handmade cards to deployed servicemen and women. OWH is an amazing organization that ships thousands of cards each month to our nation's Heroes so they have something to write home on. Please check out the tag on the sidebar for more information on this inspiring mission. Please join me in supporting our men and women who sacrifice for us all.

OWH Stars and Stamps blog it is time for a new Midweek Throwdown. (Please note that they have a new blog address as shown via the link.) This one is not as hard since Love You is the theme I make the most.

These cards are made using a free digi from Paula. And using some of the sketches at OWH Stars and Stamps blog. This first one is Sketch # 37 (sort of).
This one is Sketch #91.
This one is Sketch #30.
This one is Sketch #9.
And this last one is for the Oldie Moldie Monday Challenge. Showing some love to the handmade paper that doesn't get pulled out enough.

I know I am doing them out of order but with packing to move I am really limited as to what I have to work with so as I find stuff that fits a challenge, it gets made.
Cracks me up that the paper used by Yvonne for the sample is the same paper I chose! Beautiful pink with glossy embossed dots. The butterflies are Stickopotamus Vellum stickers and the smaller one and heart are popped.
This challenge for the party was to make a card using something I have been hoarding. This "something" is a piece of lace that I just love. It has appeared on other OWH cards and now I'm getting down to the end of it. I just love how it looks! Our Heroes are worth it!
I really love these cardmaking parties! I don't know how many challenges I can really do since ALL of my stuff is packed in boxes for moving. I managed to keep out a few basics so I could play a little this weekend. Here is the first one I got done. I know it isn't the first one listed. The paper piecing one had to have drying time for the bling so it will be posted today. This card is for the ODBD Challenge.
The challenge is called Five Elements so mine are: embossing, ribbon, die cut, stamping and gemstones. The die cut is from K&Co and fit the stamp perfect and there were 10 in a pack so 10 cards got made! Now, on to try and get a few more of these done! Have fun everyone!

Flowers! Since Mother's Day is still not here yet, here is one from the box of cards I sent to Sandy. The flowers are a dimensional sticker. (Not too thick.) And little burgundy matching pearls.
