Operation Write Home

I am currently making cards for Operation Write Home, which sends blank handmade cards to deployed servicemen and women. OWH is an amazing organization that ships thousands of cards each month to our nation's Heroes so they have something to write home on. Please check out the tag on the sidebar for more information on this inspiring mission. Please join me in supporting our men and women who sacrifice for us all.

Oldie Moldie Hello Handsome!

I know it has been awhile since I have made a card.  I have had absolutely NO-MO-JO!  None.  I look at galleries and nothing........... I've been so busy with all the stuff that comes after losing Miles.  And then this past week, my favorite Aunt who was like my 2nd Mom passed away......... I kind of felt guilty to even think of playing.

Then, after countless hours of looking through galleries I made this.  I know it isn't a show stopper, but it felt good to put something together.  I got the idea from a "Stump Sandy," the paper is Provo Craft and Creating Keepsakes (thus Oldie Moldie) that I had already cut up and was sitting in a box and that lovely ribbon was a gift from Pam T.  I had enough paper cut to make 6 of these.

It may not be a show stopper but it's absolutely lovely. Don't beat yourself up about making cards OR not making cards. The mojo will return. You've just got alot on your plate right now. So sorry for both your losses. How you're holding it all together is very inspiring...

I think this card looks wonderful! I experience the same thing when my MOJO goes away - nothing looks good to me either. However, my MOJO is in full swing (for now!) and I really like your card! I'm so sorry to hear about your Aunt. Hugs.

Hi Lynn, I think this card is classy and ideal for the guys. Show stoppers are beautiful but I find they tend to be too fussy for the guys and this sentiment is great too. This could be used for anyone from a son to a spouse or dad back home.

My sympathy to you on the loss of your aunt. Hang in there and know that lots of prayers are being said for you..

Congratulations on inspiring the sketch for OWH with this lovely card. Masculine cards are often darker, subdued colors so I really enjoyed your bright and cheerful masculine card. Great details in the dotty border and crinkled ribbon make this card special.

What a great masculine CAS card! Congrats on being chosen as the inspiration for the most recent OWH sketch! Hope you have gotten your mojo back, but if not, go easy on yourself. I lost mine this summer for a while, and finally figured out it was because I was trying too hard to MAKE myself do something. I just don't do creativity-on-demand! LOL When I eased up, it came back. Anyway, hope you are doing better. Have a wonderful day!

Congrats on being featured on today's Stars and Stamps blog. This is a great design and a wonderful masculine card. :)
