Operation Write Home

I am currently making cards for Operation Write Home, which sends blank handmade cards to deployed servicemen and women. OWH is an amazing organization that ships thousands of cards each month to our nation's Heroes so they have something to write home on. Please check out the tag on the sidebar for more information on this inspiring mission. Please join me in supporting our men and women who sacrifice for us all.

Friend to Friend

Last night I was reminded that I have not cut paper in awhile.  I do know that cutting and creating is good for the spirit and attitude so here is one I really had fun making.

I cut the gears out of thin cardboard with the Big Kick and painted them with craft paint.  I liked them so much I cut out a bunch to have for making more cards in the future.

Very nice! I like the added dimension the gears give to the card. I like that it's a "gear" embossing folder too. You rocked this...

Nice texture on this pretty card! I never thought of painting the cardboard. Smart!

Awesome! I LOVE this! You reminded me that I have gear dies that I have not used in a long time. Thanks for the inspiration!

Such a nice job with the gears. I don't know why I have nothing like it. The friend thing is just right on. Nice card
