Operation Write Home

I am currently making cards for Operation Write Home, which sends blank handmade cards to deployed servicemen and women. OWH is an amazing organization that ships thousands of cards each month to our nation's Heroes so they have something to write home on. Please check out the tag on the sidebar for more information on this inspiring mission. Please join me in supporting our men and women who sacrifice for us all.

Mickey and Minnie Sticker Kits

I had some stickers that my daughter gave to me a long time ago that were Mickey and Minnie Mouse.  I was inspired to use them after the OWH mini hop where cards were made using stickers.  These stickers have a red background so I mounted them on red paper, framed in black and then mounted them on white cardstock.  Then, took 2 (yes only 2) 12x12 sheets of that red and black Mickey paper and made 19 cards!  Go Mickey!  All that was left of the 12x12 sheets were 2 2"x1" bits that I didn't feel guilty about going into the trash.

Here are some of them close up.  The hearts on some of them were stickers too that I mounted and added dots to to make the white scallops.

These are so cute! You did a great job with only 2 sheets of patterned paper and some stickers - 19 cards! I love to see how far I can make things go - did you see my Facebook post about making 6 cards for just 50 cents?!

These came out great! I too have started to do card kits for my own use and I agree that it's a good way to be able to craft quickly and easily.

Fun cards. I also find it is just as easy to make 6 cards the same from 1 sheet of paper. Works for you, works for me

Wow, wow, wow! GREAT job on these cards! The stickers are the star mostly because the supporting actors did such a great job! You mastered the use of stickers beautifully here! These will be treasures in the months/years to come.
