Operation Write Home

I am currently making cards for Operation Write Home, which sends blank handmade cards to deployed servicemen and women. OWH is an amazing organization that ships thousands of cards each month to our nation's Heroes so they have something to write home on. Please check out the tag on the sidebar for more information on this inspiring mission. Please join me in supporting our men and women who sacrifice for us all.

Mother's Day on the way!

Here are a bunch of the Mother's Day cards I made that got shipped out today on their way to Sandy.

I know a lot seem to have butterflies but I cut out a bunch and Mom's like butterflies not just flowers!  well, I did do some with flowers too.  With butterflies!! Ha!

Color change!  I know they all look a bit stripey but I was in the scrap box when I made these.  Thank goodness for yummy ribbon and bright buttons.
This one had the flowers and doily instead.  Not too bad for a start.  On to the next bunch!

Very pretty group of cards Lynn! I think flowers and butterflies are perfect for Mom's Day cards. Love how you offset the heart next to the sentiment in the first design! Nice work!

Great job using up those scraps! Butterflies and flowers just say Mom. I just saw a really cool flying bird punch from Fiskars at JoAnns and snagged that. It looks pretty awesome - I think it will work as a "butterfly" sometimes!

These are great! I just scanned 100 cards this morning that will go out soon. It is so rewarding to imagine the smiles it will bring to soldiers and family members!
