Operation Write Home
I am currently making cards for Operation Write Home, which sends blank handmade cards to deployed servicemen and women. OWH is an amazing organization that ships thousands of cards each month to our nation's Heroes so they have something to write home on. Please check out the tag on the sidebar for more information on this inspiring mission. Please join me in supporting our men and women who sacrifice for us all.

Happy Birthday
Cleaning up some leftovers, I almost don't even know what to say about Birthdays right now. Mine was so hard to get through. I'm hoping this OWH card will bring a smile to a few faces (receiver/giver/receiver). I didn't think I would like the chalkboard paper, but I am finding it adds a nice texture. It is the dark teal panel.

It saddens me your birthday was tough. Let's hope a better year is in store for you in spite of the bad day. Your card is quite lovely. The colors all work very well together and the layout is pretty neat. It seems like awhile since I've spent any extended time in my studio... wish I could rectify it. :(
I hope your next birthday makes up for any sadness you had on this year's day.
